Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed after watching it. The story follows main character Louis Ives who leaves his teaching job at Princeton and moves to Manhattan. There, he moves in with Henry Harrison, an old playwright, who becomes a sort of mentor to Louis. Henry teaches Louis how to become an "extra man" : someone who accompanies wealthy, older women. Along the way, Louis meets a slew of interesting people as well as confronts his crossdressing issues.<br />
<br />
Both Paul Dano and Kevin Kline (who plays Henry) do a very good job playing their roles. Dano is convincing as a confused 30-year-old who is just searching for affection, and Kline plays the perfect mysterious, old heartbreaker. However, the movie runs short as far as intriguing plots go. I finished watching the movie thinking "That's it?" There were a couple of characters, including a quirky next door neighbor and an eccentric 92-year-old wealthy woman, that I would have liked to have seen a little more character development from. I also felt like the relationship between Henry and Louis never got to the point that I was waiting for.<br />
<br />
Although I only give this movie about a 2.5 stars out of 5, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't give it a try. Give it a go. Who knows, it may become your new favorite movie.<br />

I know Urban Outfitters is sometimes notoriously pricey, but these shoes were only $10. Hooray for deals! So next time you go into Urban Outfitters, don't get discouraged by their high prices. You'll more than likely walk out with at least one great steal. Also, don't be scared of shoes with crazy prints like these. So what if they don't match? Wear them anyways! They're a great way to add character to any outfit. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />

When I first received these shorts I scoffed at my mom for thinking that I would be ok with a high-waisted short. Now, 3 years later, I applaud my mom for accurately predicting my future style. In my opinion, Old Navy has some of the best shorts for really cheap. So if you want to look casual yet chic, I would recommend investing in a pair of high-waisted shorts in any (or all!) colors. They're excellent for tucking in shirts, making your outfit go from plain, to magnificent. When trying this outfit, flats are always the best way to go. Ballet flats are my favorite, but I (surprisingly) don't own any, so I pulled out my trusty black shoes (they make a constant appearance). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

This month it happened to be indie pop band Jukebox The Ghost, whom I found via Urban Outfitters' music blog. The band's most recent release, "Everything Under the Sun," is the perfect concoction of piano, electrifying hooks, and pristine vocals -- making it an instant summer play list staple.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">The album opens with "Schizophrenia," a track that sounds fitting for its title. The song is full of jittery lines and unexpected breakdowns that will have any listener toe-tapping in no time.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><span style="background-color: white;">"Empire" is the standout song on the album, with its sunshine-y, love-themed anthem bursting at the seams with happiness.</span></div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">Other notable tracks include "Mistletoe," "The Popular Thing," and "Carrying."</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;">The most monumental track is "So Let Us Create," a piano ballad with haunting falsetto vocals and beautiful, gripping lyrics like: "So let us create what we need each other to be/ And I'll be what you need me to be."<br />
If you're looking for an well-rounded, upbeat album full of quirky sounds, great lyrics, and infectious melodies, "Everything Under the Sun" is a good fit. Purchase the album online at <a href="http://www.amazon.com/">Amazon.com</a> or iTunes. You've heard of ombre hair I'm sure (when the hair starts out darker at the roots and gets lighter towards the bottom), but it appears that ombre nails are the new thing. Most girls remember the days when painting their nails consisted of applying every color you owned on every single fingernail. Today, you can still do the same thing, but there is a nice alternative that will keep you from looking like you let your 5-year-old cousin give you a manicure. To do the ombre nail, all you need to do is grab 5 different bottles of nail polish, all within the same color family, and paint your nails from lightest color to darkest. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="line-height: 15px;">You'll b</span>e secretly channeling your inner little girl without anyone really knowing.</div><div><br />

I'll admit it- I actually consider nail polish an accessory! I change my nail color often, sometimes even to complement an outfit I am wearing. Although I am partial to dark plum or black nails, here are a few interesting ideas worth giving a shot:<br />
<img src="http://data.whicdn.com/images/9548831/tumblr_lktu81j2e81qf7ikto1_500_large.jpg?1304807594" /><br />

Personally, I stick to OPI for the best quality polish- they last the longest and are the most durable on nails, not to mention the <em>immense</em> selection of shades offered. <br />

</b></i></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Do you know why I'm so proud of this outfit? Half of it came from a yard sale. Last weekend, I went to a yard sale in Athens to help support a group of students who are going on a mission trip. I've never had a lot of luck with yard sales, but that's probably because I haven't been to one since I was in elementary school, unappreciative of nice, cheap finds. At the yard sale in Athens I snagged a whole bag of clothes, including this dress, for $5, the blue (homemade!) headband for $2, and an awesome multi-colored bag for $2. I was reluctant about wearing this dress since it's so plain, but I fixed that easily by pairing it with some simple yet effective accessories. So next time you go to a yard sale or antique store, I dare you to find at least one thing. You'll be surprised by what you can find and you'll feel good paying under $10 for an entire outfit. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

</a><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: black;">As an avid tea fan, I was more than thrilled when I came across this cute strainer on the Nylon Blog. Shaped like an underwater diver, this strainer would give me even more of an excuse to enjoy my tea every day at all hours of the day. When the strainer is not in use, it could even serve as a cute little trinket to spice up your kitchen counter. At $20, I think it is worth every cent because it is something that can be used over and over. So go grab your favorite loose tea (Bangkok Lemongrass from Teavana for me) and enjoy your tea in style! </span><br />

Enter Nicole Richie, former celebutant turned fashion icon who has proven just that. Much like a fine wine, Richie's style has matured and evolved perfectly over time, with the petite maven epitomizing the look of classy, sultry, boho-chic. Pairing chunky bangles with evening attire and hardly ever being spotted without a casual scarf slung over her ensemble, Richie's California-cool attitude when it comes to styling is refreshing and unique. Think you've got what it takes to challenge her effortlessly chic look? Take a cue from the looks below:<br />
<img src="http://28.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lk2nmxkTkU1qzhguzo1_400.jpg" /><br />
Flashy bangles paired with an otherwise simple top add new dimension to a conservative look.<img src="http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lj171cFhZO1qbiw5mo1_400.jpg" /><br />
A flow-y floral top topped off with a vest, natural hair, smokey eye make up and a simple hat make for a fun, versatile ensemble that would fit in perfectly at a music festival, lunch date, or shopping trip.<img src="http://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_limyl8Eikx1qzhguzo1_400.jpg" /><br />
For winter, piling on the layers can be tricky. Ms. Richie pulls it off effortlessly, adding an unexpected pop of fun color with a flirty pale yellow skirt.<br />
<img src="http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lhwumziep21qzhguzo1_400.jpg" /><br />
Children in tow, Nicole puts her best foot forward in a printed kaftan and boho diaper bag. Who says mothers can't be stylish too? Daughter Harlow Winter Kate is sure to follow in her mommy's stylish footsteps!<br />
Aside from being a full time mother, Richie is the mastermind and designer behind vintage jewelry line "House of Harlow 1960," a collection of art deco-esque necklaces, rings, earrings, pendants, and more. Obviously, the sky is the limit for Richie's conquests in the fashion world- she also recently launched her clothing line, "Winter Kate," available at <a href="http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/winter-kate?cm_ven=google&cm_cat=women&cm_pla=winter_kate&cm_ite=winter%20kate%20clothing&ef_id=bUlNvxiPrCIAAIg9:20110503081935:s">Nordstrom</a>.<br />

Thanks to <a href="http://www.amazon.com/">Amazon.com</a> and the site's <em>insane</em> selection of free MP3 downloads, I was able to scour the goods select a free label sampler for our readers. Enjoy the Friendly Fire Recording 2011 spring sampler, which was released at the beginning of the month. Full of The Phenomenal Handclap Band, The Concretes, and a personal favorite, Violens, it is sure to please!<br />

I really don't want to say anything else about it because I just want you to simply enjoy it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><object class="BLOGGER-youtube-video" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0" data-thumbnail-src="http://2.gvt0.com/vi/PaMiVDZu_T4/0.jpg" height="266" width="320"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/PaMiVDZu_T4&fs=1&source=uds" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><embed width="320" height="266" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/PaMiVDZu_T4&fs=1&source=uds" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Of course, Andy Hull's amazing, God-given voice and talent for writing mind-blowing lyrics helps make the music video great, but it's really the director's talent that makes the video as wonderful as it is. The director is actually two directors named Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert that simply go by the name Daniels.<br />
Check out their blog <a href="http://danieldanielblog.tumblr.com/">here</a>. I'll have more to say about them later, but for now, just enjoy the beauty that is Simple Math.<br />

Tuesdays are always my busy day on campus, and a simple tee paired with a voluminous skirt and the right accessories works seamlessly from the classroom, to a job fair, to dinner with friends. It's going to be a big hit one day so you'll want to watch out for that. Today, I'm a junior at Georgia College majoring in the best thing ever: Mass Communication! I work as the Leisure Editor and Assistant Photo Editor for our school's newspaper, The Colonnade. Aside from that I also tutor and pretend to make wonderful pottery for my ceramics class. I normally just produce bowls that I like to call abstract even though they're really just mess ups. I hate twitter and I have an unhealthy obsession with dresses and the show Dexter. When I get older I'm going to live in SoHo and write for Nylon. I won't accept anything other than this lifestyle. I try to be good to mother nature. It's just something that I'm into. I have a tumblr all about being environmentally friendly: <a href="http://theflowersandthetrees.tumblr.com/">the flowers and the trees</a>. Follow me! I have always admired Cutrone's work ethic and seemingly cutthroat standards in the realm of fashion PR and branding, so I am more than excited to hear about Cutrone's new book, "Normal Gets You Nowhere," hitting book stores on May 3! Although nearly 6 years have passed since the Lariat's debut, it is not uncommon to <em>still</em> spot the bag in the likes of <em>Vogue</em> and <em>InStyle</em> in interesting new colors. Hermes' iconic "Birkin" bag has long-held the title of "most coveted," but will it have to share the limelight with the Lariat as a "classic" in the near future? Only time will tell.<br />
Personally, I love the edgy feel of my Lariat-style bag (it is an imitation, of course, but an <em>excellent</em> one I might add!). Pairing it with a plain tank top and jeans adds new dimension to an otherwise "blah" ensemble. I suppose I am a sucker for a bag with studded hardware and straps!<br />

I don't exactly know why, but the little, dainty accents on apparel give off an effortlessly feminine air that I cannot get enough of. Check out the adorable picks below:<br />

Reading blogs warms my heart and a couple months ago I came across the most magnificent blog (other than this blog, of course). It's called <a href="http://shannoneileenblog.typepad.com/happiness-is/#">**Happiness Is...**</a> and it always has very interesting things to look at. So I would suggest you go check it out.<br />
<div><br />
</div><div>Today while looking at Happiness Is, I found this:</div><div><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpdmQ5zsf1bZz3aMvL7xYx4n5ux6nOf1JIe_6LhdUszQohJZMLpHM4HfgauNf1MGQNzgPOxpIE_LJnjzqoT_S6OyzGoNPxQwlhciBn0iwF9LNM2-Cthj_ygfJ_TnfbsWfb-D_d7XlSGCQX/s1600/outdoormovie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="287" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpdmQ5zsf1bZz3aMvL7xYx4n5ux6nOf1JIe_6LhdUszQohJZMLpHM4HfgauNf1MGQNzgPOxpIE_LJnjzqoT_S6OyzGoNPxQwlhciBn0iwF9LNM2-Cthj_ygfJ_TnfbsWfb-D_d7XlSGCQX/s320/outdoormovie.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">How gorgeous is this?? When I get a house with a backyard, this is the first thing that I'm going to create. But for now since I only live in an apartment, I'm just going to have to settle with recreating this indoors. It will be my little fort/tv viewing area for when friends come over. Or for those days when I'm only motivated to sit around and watch documentaries like the dork I am.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

Thanks to Urban Outfitters, we are blessed with a weekly selection of five free songs each and every week, via their wondrous <a href="http://www.blog.urbanoutfitters.com/">blog</a>. Personally, my favorite track off of this week's play list is "I Heard You Say" by Vivian Girls. What's yours?<br />

Great, free music. And even better than that is great, free music by a local artist. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">The website theblueindian.com is a wonderfully delightful place to find great music from artists in and around Macon, GA. But even if you're not from around that area I'd still suggest you check the website out; it never hurts to support another town's music scene. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Today while searching the site I came across a gem of an artist by the name of Amy Godwin. I've actually had the pleasure of seeing her perform live at The 567 in Macon and let me just say, she has one of the most entrancing, angelic voices I have ever heard. Her sound is nothing short of magical and to top it off, she has impeccable style. Amy Godwin can do no wrong. Her musical style is very folkish. I'd compare her to an artist, but she really is so unique, I can't even think of anyone. Maybe if Adele had a child with a fairy and their child played acoustic guitar then something similar to Godwin would be produced. That's such a weird analogy...</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">Anyways, since she's so amazing I feel the need to share her music with everyone I know. </div><div style="text-align: left;">You can download her music <a href="http://www.theblueindian.com/2011/02/16/free-ep-amy-godwin-live-the-567/">here</a> from The Blue Indian. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: left;">While you're at it, watch this video too. Please. The Blue Indian has all kinds of glorious videos on Youtube of bands that play in Macon. Go to Youtube and search "Acoustic Alley." You won't be disappointed</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br />

Swimwear has digressed from the tiny triangle tops and string-y, barely there bottoms of recent years to chic high cut bottoms and unique styles of bikini tops like wide strapped halters and ruffle-embellished bandeau styles.<br />
Thanks to these fuller coverage styles, vintage-inspired swimwear is universally flattering on nearly every figure. Higher rise bottoms cover problem areas in the midriff while halter tops are able to support a fuller bust. Sounds like a win-win situation, doesn't it?<br />
Although high fashion designers set the bar for swimwear this season, that doesn't mean you have to break the bank in attempts to look like pin-up perfection on the beach! Popular retailers like <a href="http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/">Urban Outfitters</a> and <a href="http://www.anthropologie.com/">Anthropologie</a> offer more affordable, flattering mix-and-match pieces to keep you looking chic all summer long.<br />
